• Apocalypse is a name he gave himself, his real name is Zurden but he no longer goes by that
• Deep down he actually fears his own abilities and ends up hating what he becomes
• He used to have a mate and son, but they died and the grief that caused him made him join Vulcan and start the Days of Destruction 
• He used to have a wife and son. His wife was the God of Health.

Despite his parents not being of noble or royal blood Apocalypse is born in in the higher world as a God. It is not until his teen years that he discovers his God powers and he turns out to be the God of Disease. Despite it not being the most sort after or desired God ability he makes the best with it. It's during those years when he meets and becomes very good friends with Mai Brian. The pair of them compliment each other extremely well and enjoy each others company a lot. He also becomes very good friends with Mercury through Mai Brian and the trio have a happy childhood together being fairly rebellious and practicing their powers when they shouldn't.

However, in his adult years Apocalypse grows gradually apart from them, although not on any bad terms. Whilst he's alone he meets his would be future wife and falls madly in love with her. The pair are inseparable and end up having a son together. Apocalypse adores his son and his wife and is extremely happy and content with his life. He does his God duties and so does his wife, his wife is the Goddess of Health. A few years later his wife becomes pregnant again and this time has a daughter. Apocalypse is absolutely taken aback by his daughter, he adores her and does anything and everything he can for her. 

Despite this happiness it does not last. During the war the Soulpaw's have with the Darkfang's Apocalypse's wife and son are all murdered during the cross fire, and he cannot find his daughter and ends up assuming the worst for her. This loss causes Apocalypse to lose his mind with grief and he starts inflicting plague's on populations and communities. During this time he meet Vulcan and his demon friends, after hearing their plans he decides to join them to get back at the higher and under world's who he blamed for killing his family. Once everything is set out they put their plan into motion. Within days they started to carry out what would later be known to be the Days of Destruction which was where they started destroying everything in their path with the intention of taking out both the worlds and taking the earth for themselves. It only lasted a few days until the rulers were able to capture them and they kill Vulcan. However, when Apocalypse is being hunted to be captured he inflicts a deadly curse upon the Desert Protector Dragon, Narass. In this weakened state Narass is slaine by hunters for the prestige and materials. This causes irreparable damage and lesser demons end up being able to start claiming the desert as their own with the intent of eventually taking over the Mortal Realm. After thhe three survivors were kept in special cages in each other the realms (Higher World, Under World and Mortal) to keep them from escaping and causing anymore damage. Apocalypse is kept in the Higher World where he is left and forgotten about for hundreds of years. 

In his prison he ends up being able to contemplate everything and he realises what he has become and its the type of God he did not want to be. It leaves him with a lot of regret and shame in the end. Although, many years pass and Mai Brian ends up breaking him out of the prison as she knows that wasn't really him. She decides to give him a second chance even though it comes at the cost of her being hunted by the Higher World.
