She does her best to remain impartial and think through things as though she were a separate party. Blackstar has always had a keen mind, something most likely genetic on Rookfeather’s behalf.

| Independent: | [not depending on another for livelihood or subsistence.]
Most cats consider Blackstar the main one at the helm of HighClan’s decisions. She does tend to take charge more often than not, you know, being leader and all. The she-cat has always worked best alone, but she has found it helps to expand your horizons, and knows when and how to work with others effectively.

| Passionate: | [showing or caused by strong feelings or a strong belief.]
Blackstar gets into things. Like, really gets into things. Her emotions have no off switch, and she gets especially worked up about things. She really loves certain things and cats, and once you get her talking about them, she likely will keep you until two sunrises have past, and she’s not done, even then. She has a lot more love in her heart than people thing.

Rules have been put in place for a reason, and she does her best to run her clan on the values the warrior code put forward, even if they seem unrealistic. She tries to be fair, she tries to be unbiased. It's a quality she's worked hard to construct.

There's strength in honesty, but she finds her strength in sharing only what needs to be shared. She shouldn't have to explain herself or her methods, they just are. You have to deal with it one way or another.

| Sarcastic: | [marked by or given to using irony in order to mock or convey contempt.]
Snippy responses are something that she's carried as a weapon since she was very young. It's a way to deflect things from her, as well as keep up some sort of humor. This is her form of humor, and heavily veiled half truths can possible be found behind her words if you look close enough.

| Businesslike: | [carrying out tasks efficiently without wasting time or being distracted by personal or other concerns; systematic and practical.]
Knowing that she is a leader has removed a lot of the childish qualities she once had amassed. She does her best to remain neutral, to make decisions when needed, to be a strong figure to the people. She wants to do well. She doesn’t want anyone dying and leaving a blood soaked and disingenuous history like her grandmother and grandfather before her.

| Enigmatic: | [difficult to interpret or understand; mysterious.]
Priding herself in knowing what others are thinking or feeling, Blackstar has constructed herself a facade that makes it difficult to figure out what she’s thinking one way or the other. It certainly doesn’t help that she can say one thing and mean another, or does things just because she can. She does this on purpose, and enjoys having cats not being able to read her as easy as they might others.

| Two-Faced: | [insincere and deceitful.]
Even as a kit, she has found it to be easier to not be open with feelings or ideas that you might have. She will tell you one thing, and then do another. Blackstar tried to deny this fact of hers, of this part of her, but it has come back twofold, and now she is only doing more to hide behind her lies. Most of her life and even her position was built upon a throne of lies, and she is not one to abandon something she worked so hard to upkeep.

Dealing with things healthily?? Using coping mechanisms in the way that you’re supposed to? What’s that? Blackstar zones out and gets lost in her mind like it’s her job instead of running a clan when she grows too stressed. A responsibility thrust onto someone who didn’t exactly want it creates a nasty kind of stress. She dreams of a world where Rookfeather is still leader, and she remains just a warrior, who doesn’t have to worry about anyone but herself and her tiny bubble.

| Hot-Headed: | [having an impetuous or quick-tempered nature.]
She doesn’t snap at others when she gets upset. Her voice gets low, face curling into an ugly amalgamation of emotions, none of them good. Blackstar will do her best to put you in your place, and make sure that you remember not to mess with her. Her quick to anger personality has the possibility to get her or her clan into trouble, so she tries to keep it as secure as possible.

| Insecure: | [not confident or assured; uncertain and anxious.]
While she has a front that she knows what she’s doing, she doesn’t. She knows she doesn’t. She knows that there are cats better suited for the position that she’s in, and knows that she is… Not great. Blackstar wants to succeed, but doesn’t believe that she can.
