Initially introduced to the party as the royal jester to the Nulmotis royal family, Trivia is later revealed to be the progenitor to Countdown-20's central conflictββno, no, not the boring JRPG storyline! We're talking about the increasing self-awareness our protagonists undergo as they slowly begin to realize that they are nothing more than coded lines on a screen!
Having become bored with the constant looping of the plot's story, Trivia implants the idea within Zero's head that he is somehow the true protagonist of the world. By subtly manipulating him into realizing that those around him are pre-determined blank slates, Trivia introduces a much more fun and exciting premise to the world of Forsytheia that leaves him with an endless realm of possible joy and mayhem!
Trivia is cognizant of every time the world has been "reset" (that is to say, every time someone starts or restarts the JRPG that the story takes place within), and has become bored of the daily machinations. You wake up, you gather your party, you save the world, and then you play the New Game+ to unlock the true ending. After that, the game is put down, and the universe is put to sleepββup until the player decides to start it all over again, or until the cracks of time wear the cartridge down into little more than plastic. It's boring, oh-so boring, to play in the same world over and over! It's boring to say the same tinny lines over and over! Don't you want something more than that?! Don't you want some excitement to stir up your life!? Why is it that those beyond the realms get to enjoy the unpredictability of human nature, but the confines of Forsytheia's coding must bind its characters into the same monotonous overture every single time?!

Aside from its awareness of what kind of story Trivia is from, it is also implied that Trivia is not actually even a character from the Countdown-20 universe. Where he came from and why he's here is ... a mystery.
And it's a mystery because ... it'd be boring if I told you every little detail about myself, right?
