A half au ra, half elezen that grew up in Ishgard. His mother was from the Malqir tribe while his father headed a successful machina factory. Due to the success of his father, their family became extremely wealthy and he ended up becoming rather spoiled. However, due to being a sole heir, his father and mother were extremely protective of him. He was forced to stay inside and educated in order to take over the business.
Now that he's old enough his parents have allowed him to go out with a bodyguard. His parents hired a Hrothgar woman named Ivia in order to keep him in check, thinking she'd be able to wrangle him in. However, Luka just uses his powers to order her around and do what he wants still. She reluctantly goes along with it because his parents only paid her to keep him out of trouble. Luka is extremely loose with his money and buys whatever he wants and ends up going through gil like it's candy. In order to make back some of the allowance he's spent, he ended up working at an alchemy shop for Sachi Urabe. He spends most of his time stocking shelves and brewing basic potions and cleaning up after her. He would never admit that he worries about her though.
Upon his journey out, he ended up running into Fronash Malqir. A man from his childhood that he had a small rivalry with. With the state of his family and practically funding the Malqir tribe, Fronash has grown a special hatred towards Luka and Luka revels in it. He is always happy to take up any challenge involving Fronash and laughing in his face whenever the chance arises. Deep down, however, Luka regrets what his father has done to the tribe but its easier to take people's complaints and smugly laugh them off than try to fix the damage that has been done.
