Moondown
The largest continent, though its vastness is not well-catalogued. Humid, lush, and wild, very little of the land has been civilized, as most of the land is sentient in some way. This property is believed to be caused by the sunshards and moonshards - enormous pieces of the suns and moons that fell to the ground and buried themselves across Moondown. It holds Sarens, Iah-Yah, the Maiden's Tangle, and Moondown Wilds.
Sarens
The eastern nation of Moondown, and the smallest. Most of the sun/moonshards landed near the eastern coast, and have become the main tenants of Sarens' religion and government, as they cause hallucinations, manifestations of power, and severe burns across those permitted to touch it (the Clerisy).
Iah-Yah
The border between Sarens and the Maiden's Tangle is Iah-Yah, which posits that the sun/moonshards are pieces of the original body of its two founders, who were cast away - by their parents, the sun and moon - for their forbidden love. These figures reincarnate into the Iya and Ayi, who lead the country together as a couple essentially from birth.
Maiden's Tangle
The Tangle is an enormous jungle, populated by runaways, refugees, and free spirits who have chosen to shed society and live ferally. The jungle is constantly, visibly expanding, bounded only by Iah-Yah's diligent controlled fires and the ocean itself. Supposedly, it is crafted and tended to by the 'Maiden', a mysterious figure all permanent residents worship.
Moondown Wilds
The land past the Tangle, which has only been spotted a handful of times on deliberate excursions, as Moondown is so enormous. Little is known about them, save that there are hints of settlement and the native flora are actively warring with the Tangle, visibly choking and stifling invading roots.
