story: he was built by W.D. gaster to be his pet and was imbued with a monsters soul and an unnecessary amount of DETERMINATION the soul became corrupted and the body quickly started to crack apart, the creature was shut down by gaster and his project given up on when the core project came up. restarting the power to the elevator by frisk awoke the creature again
