Phoenix

Okay, I think I have a good way to redo her now. It's a legend-type  story with supernatural implications, but also room for realism. Not a  part of any world, just guys who reflect me and live in my head. She and  Ice are guardians of extinct birds.

Anatomically, Her  body is more pheasant-like, with long, powerful legs and short  burst-capable wings, her face like a harrier's (having an incomplete  facial disk), but her bill is crow-like. She has some iridescence in her  darker blue and black feathers. She is mostly blind, only able to see  light and very large blurs, and flies poorly in places that are not her  home plane, stuck to low-powered flight and gliding.

She can  supposedly resurrect any bird, and herself, but no matter her healing  powers, she is always resurrected with cataracts and is mostly blind. 

Some  say she is just a walking corpse, a zombie of sorts, as Phoenix and her  general presence ironically feels slightly cool (if she doesn't bite  off your hand for trying to touch her, ouchie).

Personality-wise,  Phoenix has the job of protecting that which has passed. Formerly, she  would also be a guardian of what remains has been taken by her mate, and  Phoenix is very grateful for this. She's not necessarily the most  charming individual, but she's almost always seen with a slight smug  smile on her face, and has an air of curiosity about her. This is a  deceiving contrast to her extremely stubborn personality. Phoenix was  stubborn about life and dying, and she remains stubborn on her passions.  Uhh, personalities are difficult to describe, I'll add to this later
