A young Drackling with black hair, brown eyes, tanned skin, and scrawny build.
Oz is curious, a trouble maker, people pleaser, and is easily riled up. Stolen from the nest of an unknown boarderclan before his first birthday, Oz was raised in the Vanhanen manor for 13 years by Cirrus Vanhanen along with Evren, Orsina, Lyra, Althea, Ferrus, Martin, Astor, Safira, Corbin, Beren, and Tara. Evren and Orsina were Oz's closest companions. Due to their similar appearances, Orsina and Oz believe they could be sister and brother, the source of their closeness, though a lot of the manor children acted like siblings due to growing up together. Oz and Evren get along well due to their similar degrees of curiosity.
Oz is a fairly sociable drackling, and due to his desire to avoid conflict with his peers, doesn't intentionally start conflicts between the other manor children. He is fairly well liked even by Corbin and Beren, though he has a reputation for getting in trouble and is mainly perceived as a bit of an airhead and scapegoat by the other children. The adults tend to see him as an uncontrollable nuisance due to his poor grasp over his firebreathing and penchant for trouble.
Oz's true Drackling form is stunted from malnutrition as well as lack of frequent shapeshifting as a child. He has a long, doglike face with deerlike pointed ears. His body is thin, though his chest and wings are muscular enough to allow him to fly. His build is slightly catlike, with a slightly long, low body. His scales are a dark green-teal, nearly black, with a lighter underbelly. He has an orderly row of leaf-green spikes that run from the base of his head to halfway down his tail, which is tipped with a leaf-green spade. His horns are reminiscent of a raindeer, and are a slightly lighter green than his spikes. His wings are broad and are a green that lightens to nearly golden at the tips. In his true Drackling form, his eyes are a golden color with a slight green tint.
Fun Facts:
-Oz is the shortest of the Drackling children at the manor, something that he hates.
-Though Oz knows that Beren, Corbin, and Tara aren't fond of him, Oz continues to try and win them over, to little success.
-His favorite game is tag, followed closely by charades, and then hide and seek. His favorite activity is drawing, though he usually draws the same thing over and over: copies of the woodcut of a flying Drackling from a book in the manor's library.
-Oz's favorite food is squash soup.
