Champ is a hot-headed, arrogant Infernape and leader of Apollo's team.

Apperance

Champ is an Infernape with a lanky, muscular body. His face and chest are surrounded by wild white fur, while his skin is an orange-toned tan. Parts of his body appear to be golden and shiny. A fierce flame burns from a top his head. He's often seen wearing an orange bandana.

Personality

Champ is an arrogant show-off and he knows it. Champ has natural leadership skills and will bravely attempt to lead his team (and trainer) into the face of danger. He's not the smartest, though, and is a bit slow so sometimes he does the opposite of helping. He's also extremely competitive, and will constantly try to out do his other teammates. Champ can also be reckless, and a bit of a goof. He can't resist the urge to run off and play.

Story

Champ was not given to Apollo by the professor, but rather cane from a Pokemon breeder specializing in strong Pokemon. He at first has no respect for Apollo, and was quite the rebellious little Chimchar, causing all sorts of trouble. He was an awful brat - stealing things, pulling hair, biting, running a muck. Finally the professor stepped in and taught the young Apollo how to properly handle a Pokemon and teach Champ obedience. Champ's doing much better now, and thanks to his breeder background competes in Pokemon contests.
