Melanie is determined and headstrong. Her stubborn nature forces her to see tasks to completion no matter the difficulty. She tends to value practicality over ambition, and she sees little use for idle daydreaming. Her style of bravery is a lot less steady courage and a lot more sheer recklessness. She's loyal to her friends, but that loyalty rarely extends to those outside her social circle. She tends to be suspicious of strangers and their intentions. Although she does her best to seem charismatic, casual social interaction doesn't always come easily to her- especially if she's caught off-guard. She flirts shamelessly with those she finds attractive, but any return sentiments leave her blushing and stuttering.

Melanie does her best to act confident, no matter the task. Although her attitude often seems cocky or even arrogant, in reality she's just trying to hide her own insecurities. She often has doubts about her abilities or even her mission, but she refuses to vocalize them. Melanie, despite her attempts to appear otherwise, is also a huge nerd; she loves sci-fi and action movies, and can spend entire days re-reading her favorite books. She's usually extremely sleep-deprived, either due to working on case research or staying up late watching Netflix.
