Profile
Blue
Most people call him Blue. If you call him Benjamin,, it's more a sign that you don't know him very well. Not many call him Benji, but he likes the sound more than Benjamin. Never Ben or Benny though. He hates those names.
Thresher was his dad's family name, but he didn't stay in the picture very long. The only family on his dad's side who are in the picture is his Aunt Tori, who is the fun, encouraging aunt. I think she runs a bar in another city called The Watering Hole. She is almost exclusively in her full Siren form to the point that the area behind the bar is partially submerged.
Blue's maternal family are the Vales. They run Evervale Farm in Lupine Ridge. Mostly they're human, though legend has it that the first Vale who came to the region fell in love with a wood nymph and had kids. Most Vales tend to be green thumbs, though every so often some have just a little magical quality in manipulating plant life.

Personality
Blue has very high walls... and like a team of bowmen shooting at anyone who approaches, but once you get over that he'll do whatever it takes to keep you safe and secure physically and emotionally. He's smol but he'll break a beer bottle and stab a bitch if you comes to it. Kind of a pitbull. He's got a bad reputation, but he can be really sweet and loving until it comes to protecting his master. The only hiccup is his temper, he needs therapy for sure xD or to make a horribly painful mistake so the lesson sinks.
Blue definitely gets his temper from his mom, who got some of it from her dad Jethro and mixed it with the untamed wildness of her aunt Franny. I see it in terms of elements. Jethro is stubborn and immovable like rock and at times he can make the earth shake when his anger is roused. Blue's mother is tempestuous like the wind. She easily gets away from herself in all of her emotions, but when you push her patience enough she can whip up a storm of epic proportion. Blue is fire. He can be a comforting hearthfire, but if mishandled, his emotions can easily get out of control and burn anyone too close.
When both Blue and his mom get angry, they just make a firestorm and rile each other up. She did a lot as a single mom to provide for her son, but teaching him how to manage his anger was not one that she was capable of.
Blue isn't going to like either side of the farming thing. He finds most long-term manual labor to be boring and is absolute dogshit at customer service. I think he might get a job at the pub. Probably start as a waiter or something, cause problems, and then work behind the scenes as a cook... as far away from the customers as possible.
He probably wouldn't be too bad as a bartender, but he'd be so bad as a waiter nobody would take the chance. He does better with people on personal levels. He likes helping them feel good and listening to problems when he already cares about them. With strangers... not so much and when people get rude or touchy, he gets loud and snappy.
Skills
Music
Blue uses his natural ear for music and vocalization as a Siren to his advantage and then takes it a step further into virtuoso territory. He can play several instruments to an acceptable level and is an expert in both guitar and piano.
Swimming
While underdeveloped for a Siren, Blue's swimming skills put most land dwellers to shame.
Cooking
Often left to his own devices growing up, Blue has a pretty good understanding of the foundation of good cooking and can utilize it to make some great dishes. While he wouldn't exactly call it a hobby, he enjoys watching people enjoy eating what he cooks.
Magic
While he has an ancestral edge for nature magic, his lack of interest is only part of the reason he's terrible at it... to his great aunt's severe disappointment.
Summary
Recently, Blue had some troubles in college. His temper flared again and it ended with him being sent to his Uncle and Aunt's farm.
Evervale Farm
The current owners of the farm are Jethro and Francine Vale. Jethro is the one most farmlands report to. He's an old fashioned farmer who believes that even if their ancestor was a forest nymph, it didn't make them into anything special. Their farm is exceptional because of hard work and good decisions. He appreciates the qualities of his nonhuman farm hands and tries his best to make the best use of their skills, even if he can be a bit rough and curmudgeonly about it. Franny on the other hand is every bit the free spirited witch. She totally buys into the nymph story and lived a pretty open, adventurous life before coming back to the farm to settle down with her brother Jethro. She's not all that interested in the day to day running of the farm, but she takes care of the personnel and face to face selling. Her cooking is... uh... unique. Edible, but definitely strange in a scary kind of way. Mostly she just keeps to herself, her personal garden, and her craft. Where her brother is grumpy and sterner but well intentioned, she is self involved but kind and worldly
