Scathe the Coyote

Scathe was born into a poor family living in the slums of Chemical Plant Zone. The fumes from the chemical plant having severe health impacts, life expectancy for the citizens was significantly lower, their eyes yellowing due to the chemicals in the air. His parents dreamed of providing a better life for thier son, worked themselves to the bone to scrape together as much as they could spare in hopes of one day moving to the countryside to start a new life. Unfortunately this dream never eventuated as his parents became ill, their only choice was to use what money they had to buy him a ticket to Station Square.

Scathe arrived in Station Square as a scared child with no family. He was placed into state care and grew bitter as time passed,, seeing how simple things he was desperate for as a child were treated as disposable in this new environment. He found himself in constant trouble with the law, first for misdemeanours and then crimes of gradually increasing severity. By the time he turned 18 he was either on the streets or in prison. Soon developing a network of contacts in the underworld.

He, like all those down on their luck with nowhere left to turn drew the attention of Yowl. He took Scathe into his ranks, utilising him as hired muscle who would intimidate and extend Yowl's cruelty to his many business associates. Scathe settled into this lifestyle very comfortably, taking great joy in hurting those more well off than he. He enjoyed being Yowl's right hand man, getting the lions share of the work and the rewards his loyalty obtained, that is until a young green hedgehog appeared on the scene.

Scathe loathed Aggressive, from the first day he walked into Yowl's bar. This kid from a rich family, deciding he was too good for that luxury and now taking all the good jobs? Scathe pleaded with Yowl for more opportunities, the big cat insisting these jobs required a gentler approach, Aggressive seemingly reluctant to cause any real harm, he was a pushover in Scathe's eyes. The two butted heads constantly, Yowl continuing to favor Aggressive over Scathe. When Aggressive was the one to receive the Chaos Drive Gear, Scathe challenged him for them, winner takes all. Yowl, watched over the fight, smiling as if this was what he had orchestrated all along.

Even being new to the Chaos Gear, Aggresive easily bested Scathe, the Coyote sinking back into the ranks of Yowl's organisation, his anger festering. Awaiting his opportunity to impress Yowl and seek his revenge.

Years passed, Scathe shooting daggers at Aggressive any time the two crossed paths. He couldnt understand why Yowl continued to trust this Hedgehog, who seemed to just float in for a job whenever it was convenient for him. Even after spending time working for G.U.N. using that same gear? Scathe dare not question Yowl, knowing what fate befell those who did. He committed himself to the organisation, seemingly reclaiming his right hand man status whenever Aggressive wasn't around. He hated being second best to him, but would continue to bide his time.

Yowl would eventually gift him his own Chaos Gear, a newer, far improved version of the gear Aggressive wore. Having seemingly allowed their rivalry to fester for this very purpose Yowl could think of no better test subject for Scathe to test his new gear on than Aggressive. Scathe eagerly accepted.
