Sum

A Chimereon that was kidnapped off the streets earlier in his life by illegal geneticists looking for more subjects to experiment on in an attempt to make the perfect Chimereon soldier. Sum's life in captivity was miserable- he was treated like an object, poked and prodded with needles filled with who knows what, exposed to weird objects that changed his appearance in ways that horrified him... He had become a monster... and while he was a success in many regards, they could not rid him of his passive nature. So, Sum was locked up with the other failures, only brought out when tests were needed or workers needed something to vent their frustrations on.

Sum had never wanted to die so much.

At least, until a certain maintenance worker was hired. Abel was about as soft spoken as he was, and quite unnerved by all the test subjects he had been told never to engage with or talk to while working on the machinery around their holding cells- He had been told they were all mindless monsters after all. And that's what he believed, until Sum whispered out an apology to him for startling him one day... Suddenly everything Abel had known was thrown into question....

Eventually, Sum decided he had had enough- escaping from the laboratory using Abel has a fake hostage. In their run to escape the grasp of his captors, Abel gave him a name: Sum- a word version of his test subject serial, 5-UM. Eventually they catch a greyhound thanks to Abel's quick thinking, and in their new average life... soon they fall in love.
