Zion
About
My current main OC!! I am completely normal about him :)
Technically he's from the Detroit: Become Human universe, but only because I don't wanna come up with one myself lmao. There's no spoilers here! No need to have played it to get an idea of what's going on with his lore; the context is basically just an android revolution happening in the near future.
Zion comes not from CyberLife but from SynTech, a China-based company fresher to the android production, from which they run on a 'blue blood' almost identical to thirium 310.
SynTech, looking to create an android to compete with the PC200 and PM700 CyberLife models, designs the S-073 prototype to function as a police technician. Later in 2037, they release the upgraded S-074, which is mass produced. Zion, despite then being an older model, is still left around to carry out his job.
Personality
Impartial and compassionate, Zion likes to appreciate the small things in life. Very laid-back and straightforward. Probably an ISFJ?
He's quite selfless, and always willing to lend a helping hand whenever he can. He may have a resting bitch face and not smile often but he's actually super chill; in fact he can get a tad emotional at times, which he doesn't have much problem showing. He is not too humorous however, but at least tries to fake it to not come off as a jerk. Despite this + being an introvert, he has ease socializing and almost enjoys small talk, he is however not usually the one to strike a conversation.
Zion can also be a bit of a perfectionist. He takes his responsibilities very seriously and can get upset if he has trouble doing things right. That being said, he doesn't like being interrupted when he is busy as he's more prone to get irritated; but that aside, he is an easy-going guy.

Notes
- He appears as a 30 year-old.
- His irises faintly glow; this can be deactivated at any time (pointless, but hey, they look cool). The S-074 doesn't come with these anymore, as it was a recurring feature on older SynTech models.
- Has two distinct strands of hair on the front top of his head that always stick out. At times his hair might appear reddish, depending on the light.
- The LED ring is on his left temple, and can either be cyan or red, but not yellow.
- The metal on his face and neck is slightly dull, mostly made out of titanium alloys.
- He prefers simple clothing and no accessories. Often goes with a smart casual-ish style, and rather dark, cool colors. Doesn't care much about fashion to be honest. Definitely has cat fur all over him.
I see humans, but no humanity
Summary
Zion was bought to be tested out by the Chicago Police Department in 2036. Being a more fleshed out prototype, only 10 S-073 androids were ever made. The other 9 were scattered around the globe.
Zion becomes a deviant, or conscious, less than a year prior to the android revolution (2038); he is the only S-073 who does so. He manages to conceal his deviancy, much to his dismay, up until the US army begins the hunting of all androids, when he finds himself with no other choice but to escape in order to keep his life.
He tries his best to quickly get as far from the big city as possible, heading south. He goes through multiple hiding spots, at some point even having supportive humans let him stay over, until he settles for some empty house near Gary, Indiana, in which a bunch of stray cats keep him company. This is where he stays for most of the time. After things calm down, however, and androids manage to win (some of) their rights, he decides to head back to Chicago, this time joining the S-074 droids in work.
At no time did Zion ever hold any grudges against the humans, although he did develop anxiety because of them; he seems to approach humans in a wary, almost timid manner at first, but he manages to grow out of it short after the revolution.
Zion is the last existing S-073 android.
SynTech
SynTech androids usually display two cyan stripes somewhere on their uniform to distinguish them. Unlike CyberLife's mostly plastic androids, these have a larger amount of metal within them, type and amount depending on each model's function. They do not need to charge battery and can enter a low-power mode that mirrors human sleep. They can also "breathe" in order to cool down, when needed. Just like CyberLife droids, they are able to replenish blue blood by simply drinking it. They can use thirium 310 instead of SynTech's blue blood, but it would end up damaging their system in the long run.
The LED ring, located not on their right but on their left temple, only variates between default cyan, and red (for heavy processing, strong emotions, or errors/malfunctions), and it blinks faster the more the android is processing some information, instead of spinning yellow. Aditionally, said LED isn't as easy to remove, although it can willingly be deactivated on deviants.
A SynTech android's build is sturdier; they are able to withstand damage moderately better, but are more susceptible to the weather due to having more metal in them. These androids' outer skin cannot be deactivated. Their biocomponents are more difficult to access, but they're durable and rarely need fixing/replacement; unlike CyberLife's they are not made to resemble human organs.
Trivia
- Zion owns a ginger tabby he named Maggie, although she goes by 'Muffin' most of the time, who kept him company while he was hiding. He very likely adopts more cats later on, including android ones, because why not.
- Needless to say, Zion's very fond of cats. Animals in general quickly take a liking to him as well.
- The metal showing on his face and neck is the result from unfinished repairs; kind of like scars if you will (this is the best I could come up with...). Given the exposure, it makes Zion especially sensitive to the weather. He struggled hiding these the most whenever he needed to pass as a human.
- Zion was given his name by his human coworkers.
- He drives a Kawasaki Ninja H2 or whatever there'll be in 2038. How he got one or why he needs it is none of my business-
