Sablewren didn't trust Hoarchaser much, rarely taking him on forays into the territory of the Boundless Folk. However, he trained him out of personal interest, seeing the makings of a good (and ferocious) fighter. However, Sablewren behaved very coldly and rarely showed a warm attitude towards his "non-apprentice". Initially, Sablewren kept Hoarchaser as a prisoner, but after a failed attempt to extort a “ransom” from Firewatcher, the kitten became somewhat of a ward. After discovering the secret pile, full of severed animal heads, Sablewren started avoiding Hoarchaser. Seems like he's growing afraid of what this young cat is capable of.
