Profile
Syke’s main source of nourishment is energy from other living beings. The process of absorbing said energy can take hours, and Syke needs the victim to stay still during the process. This is why his ideal time of attack is during nighttime, while they’re sleeping. This absorption causes nightmares for the victims.
Personality.
Not much is known of his demeanor. He rarely speaks, as he prefers to stay out of people's way. Really cunning and deceptive if he wants to be.

Syke can use his collected energy to conjure a second wing, allowing him to fly for short periods. The ability is draining and can leave him weak. If used recklessly he can pass out from the lack of energy.
Syke’s main source of nourishment. During nighttime, when the victim is asleep, he will sit on their chest, dripping black saliva down on the victim. Allowing Syke to slowly absorb their life energy. The process is time consuming, which is why it’s most effective during sleep. It will cause the victim to have nightmares.
A spell Syke rarely uses. It requires a lot of energy to maintain, and is taxing on the user. He only uses this spell to get something or somewhere he wants. And it’s still very much a work in progress ability.
Story.
Syke’s birthplace and time is unknown. He followed the twilight along the other Noxidae when it engulfed the Kingdom of Gailux. Syke’s main source of nourishment is energy from other living beings. The process of absorbing said energy can take hours, and Syke needs the victim to stay still during the process. This is why his ideal time of attack is during nighttime, while they’re sleeping. This absorption causes nightmares for the victims.
At the start of the twilight era, Syke had free reign on the confused and scared people in Gailux. As time passed, people started being plagued by nightmares, waking up sick and weak in the morning. This went on for months, until mages started connecting the dots.
They discovered that the nightmares had to be from a being, plaguing them at night. This discovery prompted them into making repellents. Of which the dream catcher was most effective. It was created to absorb the mind of the sleeper of ant bad dreams.
This effect in turn weakened Syke’s ability to absorb energy in a fast and efficient way. This in combination with the light sources people used to ward off other Noxidae, made it a lot harder for Syke to collect energy.

- Feeds of creature’s energy. Sits on their chest while they sleep. This results in them having nightmares.

- People who have fallen victim to him wake up weak and soaked in sweat - it takes days to recover.
- If the person is weak to begin with, having their energy taken most likely results in them passing.
