About
An ancient hellhound bound to a line of mages as their familiar, Damn has spent the last few centuries slumbering in a void dimension and plotting all the delicious species he would devour once he was released. Finally summoned into the present time, he can only be described as pent up.
Cry havoc and let loose the hound of hell...
Character
Damn is mouthy, inappropriate, enthusiastic, and violent. He would be considered kind based on outward appearance but once his mouth is open the illusion is shattered.
⬥ He is predictable in that you know he will take the sarcastic or combative reply each time, provided the sexual innuendo is not readily available.
⬥ "Bite the hand that feeds. Bite everything at least once."
⬥ Happy to use his looks or his reputation to unnerve people to his advantage.
⬥ Aside from his preturnatural strength and healing, Damn has no magic. He is however highly resistant to outside magics when in his beast form.
⬥ He rages as enthusastically as he loves.
⬥ Ready to fight, please let him fight its been forever.
⬥ “But a contract with me isn’t like a contract with a normal familiar. You can summon a stag and imbue it and ask it to protect your line. Congrats on your deer. But demons don’t work for free."

Design Notes
⬥ Human form is a muscular pale man with short black hair and golden eyes.
⬥ The glyph of his contract is branded on his left collar.

⬥ His hound form is lanky and looks like a black wolf put through a taffy puller. There is something really off about that dog..
⬥ Hellhound form is massive, pockmarked with bulbs of oozing lava and glowing eyes.

Story
Past
A proud creature, Damoriel once answered the summon of Adivian Black, a warlock who wanted what they should not have. While other mage families were content with their terrestrial familiars of snake, lion, and crow, Adivian craved more power. He summoned Damoriel and bound him to serve the Black line, promising the hellhound he could eat the heart of every living Black. Damn, seeking a quick meal of delicious mage hearts, agreed to the contract but was tricked into binding himself to the Black family for an indeterminate amount of time. Under the contract, Damn is forced to act as the Black family's familiar until the Black family line fails: when there are no more heirs to continue the contract. The contract was one made to ensure that Damn would most assuredly never go free.

The last of her line, Rowan accidentally renewed her family's contract with the hellhound in order to investigate the death of her parents. Their relationship is tenuous and symbiotic. In return for Damn's power, Rowan promises to allow the Black line to end with her, honoring the centuries old contract by giving him her heart.
