(Sophia, Σοφια, from Greek means "wisdom". It was the name of an early, probably mythical, saint who died of grief after her three daughters were martyred. Legends about her probably arose as a result of a medieval misunderstanding of the phrase Hagia Sophia "Holy Wisdom", which was the name of a large basilica in Constantinople.)

Justine Lore

While Justine's pretty stern mother and they both argue sometimes about this, Sophia loves her to bits and enjoys every minute spent with her. They share love for quiet places, so they always disappeared from the palace to spend their time either in its gardens or out of the city in a forest or on the meadows. Sophia inherited from her mother her impulsive personality, but also her love for simplest things like wild-flowers.

Now while they do have a somewhat comfortable relationship they also have a lot of (harmless) quarrels every now and then.

King Jellal/Mystogan

Sophia's a real papa's daughter. He's first of two people that she will never dare to stand up to and will listen to whatever he wants her to do as well as always be on his side in anything (which annoys Justine at times :'>). She looks up to her father in pretty much everything and would love to be exactly like him, but knows it would never happen with how impulsive she is.

Elliot Lore

When they were both little, they were inseparable. They even refused to sleep in different rooms and would always end in one of their beds snuggled up together. Then they started to grow apart little by little when they both developed their characters and started to argue over different things and after they managed to convince their parents to let them go to Earth Land it all suddenly crumbled down. Of course Sophia still cares for Elliot and wouldn't stand him getting hurt in any way, but she can't stand his overprotectiveness and how much more intelligent than her he is and always tenses up when someone mentions his name. She avoids him at all costs and when they do meet, she refuses to talk to him at all.

Arthur Lore

After leaving Edolas at pretty young age, Sophia came back rarely, so even though she loves her second little brother a lot she's not used to him that very much. He's pretty much the only person though that she's overprotective over and would hunt anyone that dared to hurt him. She's also very proud of him being this good with magic and strangely doesn't envy his little genius at all.

Rufus Lore

When she was little, Sophia thought Rufus' the most badass person in the world and pretty much stalked him every time he came to Edolas to visit his family. He would pretty much spoil her with his love for a trouble-making cutie that she was and is. They still are on very good terms and sometimes meet far away from where Elliot would sniff Sophia, always enjoying the time together a lot. Although the little princess' pretty annoyed when he's worried about something concerning her (like her relationship with her first brother)

Erza Knightwalker

When Soph was small, auntie Erza would always sneak around with all of the kids, playing hide and seek with them in the palace and when they grew up enough teaching them how to wield weapons (in Sophia's case those were swords). They got close because of that and so Sophia considers the knight her great auntie and bestest of friends. She looks up to her when it comes to wielding weapons as well and before she decided she wanted to be a strong mage, she wished she would become a great knight like her auntie.

Jellal Fernandes

When she saw him for the first time, she honestly believed he's her beloved daddy and showered him with questions until the realization dawned on her. Then she demanded from him to teach her and thanks to Erza Scarlet(Fernandes)' prompting, he agreed. What made it easier for him was that because she considered him very similar to her father, she absolutely worshiped him and listened (still does) to whatever he said and so. Also she may have rubbed off some quirks of his off him

Jellal's her one and only true idol... apart from her daddy, that is.

Ariella Sommers

Ari was one of the first in the guild to talk with Soph and thanks to her patience she didn't back off because of her coldness. Sophia appreciated this a lot and tried her best to be nice in their next conversations. After some time passed she grew pretty fond of Ari and considered her very close friend. (may get altered a little)

Atlas Vastia

With knowing Ari comes knowing Atlas, so they had to meet at some time. The first meeting was a shock on how can someone be so rude (especially to a princess lol - those were her truest feelings hah) and she pretty much hated him at first sight, very quickly catching on his insults and returning her own. They argued... a lot, but then again when you know someone long enough you get used to them and even though she always claims she hates his guts, she enjoys the arguments simply because they let her blow the steam off. Plus a friend of a friend is a friend to her :'>

>Has great stamina and is strong enough to climb on a high rock wall without asecuration (which I know is damn hard)

>Good with swords (thanks to auntie Knightwalker) and hand-to-hand combat (thanks to her Shishou)

>She liked stories when she was smaller but now almost never touches a book. If not for the fact that she sometimes likes to warm her heart with some cheesy romance, she would be illiterate

>Her fear of water came off from an experience from her childhood when she and Elliot didn't listen to their parents and ice-skated on a frozen pond (Elly wanted that badly and Soph couldn't say no). The ice cracked and she pushed Elly back, while herself landing in the cold water and would drown if not for the fact that their parents were looking for them and Jus used her magic quick enough.
