He loves gold and bling, anything metallic, he done good to hide it  from sneaky baristas that would plot to take one for his ever growing  tab.

Avisa's Background:

Avisa is known as a  Merchomper, a creature that dines on merfolk. Merchompers tend be be  large fish. Sharks, Oar Fish, Squid, things like that.

He also has a very special ancestry.

On  his father's side, there is legend of a magical beast that had the  power to grant a mer's wish. Many have the same wish, of having feet,  and to be able to hang out with the humans on the land high above. The  beast was known as the SeaWitch. Avisa inherited some magic, he can make  wishes, but only for a price. Some prices knock him out cold."

On  his mother's side he inherited an ability that angler fish have,  luminescence. It's on the inside of him though, his blood is  bio-luminescent. And he also has a tendency to attract dumb fish with a  pheromone. (If they think about it, they will swim away. Otherwise, free  food.)

After the Assassination:

After the incident involving a Queen being eaten: Avisa ran away in exile, though no one knew he did it.

He  ended up surfacing to find a Scientist group researching mermaids. He  learned a little English from them, and also tested out his magical  abilities on them as well. His best illusion was making it seem like he  had legs when in fact he didn't.

After that incident he traveled quite close to the shore where a smoothie bar was floating on the ocean.

Run  by a very methodical money maker, Delta's Smoothies. She quickly grew  fond of Avisa but very quickly realized he had no money to pay for her  drinks. He had to give up his stash of gold just to pay off Delta. Now  she has a tab for him.

Now-A-Days

Avisa is  pretty chill now-a-days. He hangs out with Delta and her cafe customers.  Every once in awhile he gets dehydrated and needs to go back in the  water and revitalize. He has more friends with humans than he does with  the Mermians and fish. He loves treasure hunting and looking cool while  doing it.
