Avon is a fairly unpopular trans boy 19 years of age. He/Him pronouns.
Avon struggles to tell the difference between reality and his own imagination due to his maladaptive daydreaming, which is a result of his own trauma following the death of his twin sister, Cordelia, when the two of them were 10 years old.
Unable to afford medical treatment or therapy services, Avon instead turned to the internet, where he found a forum full of people that experience the same as him. Through that forum, he found someone discussing a certain "spirit guide" that they summoned to help them in every day life. Following up in private messages with this person, Avon decided to try this on his own. The end result was his SIN demon, Farren.
A sloth-based contract, Farren is to help Avon during his everyday life to cope with his daydreaming and to tell what is real and what is not. In return, as every contract with a SIN demon requires a major sacrifice, Avon lost his ability to use his voice, whether it be to speak, sing, or anything in between. Now, Avon communicates by writing in his journal, though with Farren he's able to communicate telepathically. The journal, which he keeps with him at all times, is a little bigger than his hand, bound by an elastic strap, and is covered in glow-in-the-dark star stickers. Avon really loves glow-in-the-dark stars, which is part of the reason Farren looks the way he does.
When in public, Avon keeps Farren (who will shapeshift into a frog) in his pocket, usually the chest pocket of a pair of overalls, a clothing of choice for the boy.
Avon is very close with a boy named Erus, but has not told them about his SIN demon just yet. He's not quite sure if he should.
