Similar to Lucifer's child of Baal, Michael gave his Grace to a human as well as the scourge of vampirism begun to spread throughout the earth his Father so lovingly crafted. Alecto was that human, now having power above that of an average human, with the ability to sense the demonic taint of Baal's curse. It is his sworn mission to cleanse humanity of this scourge, using his whip that channels the Grace coursing through his body.
Upon channeling the Grace, his eyes and hair turn gold, and his whip ignites into flame.
