Karma is the local witch, residing deeped inside the cursed forest that no one dares to enter. The only people who tend to reside there overnight are the Cursed, those cast out from their Kingdoms and forced to live a life hidden from society. Others who stay in the forest past sundown tend to not survive long. While Karma doesn't necessarily help the Cursed who live there, she does keep an eye out for them, and will assist if they ask. She hardly ever provides assistance unprompted.

Karma was the first to be aware of when Xena began to wander the Kingdoms. She knew they brought devastation and suffering wherever they went, and offered to help them on the off chance that maybe she could make this the timeline that they saved. She failed.

Karma loves to mess with those who manage to find her, often playing up the magic she does to seem more impressive. The decoration at the end of her hat is sentient, and will often glare at visitors while her back is turned.

While she doesn't have any legs, she still moves as if she does, giving the sense that her legs themselves are just invisible despite the fact that they've fallen apart entirely. Karma doesn't particularly notice or care.
