Profile

Tabemono Rabbits are based off of the tale of the Moon Rabbit, in which a rabbit, along with other animals, decide to perform charitable acts on the day of the full moon, believing an act of great virtue would earn a great award. An old beggar approaches the animals and asks for food.
Each animal sets off gathering food, but the rabbit, only knowing how to gather grass, sacrifices itself into the beggar’s fire. The rabbit does not burn, and the beggar reveals himself to be the god, Śakra. Touched by the rabbit’s virtue, he draws the likeness of the rabbit into the moon for all to see.

Tabemono Rabbits are like any other rabbits, but are immortal and cannot be hurt. They are stylized after food and drink, and are very kind, helping provide for those in need. Such stylizations might change the size of the rabbit, its markings, tail, ears, and eyes.
