Minuet was born in a tiny isolated village and raised as a "hero" who would eventually leave her village to save the world. She grew up as a kind, thoughtful person extremely dedicated to this cause. What she didn't realize without exposure to the outside world was that the Maiden that her village worshipped was actually an evil deity that had helped the villagers conquer adjoining settlements in exchange for their worship. Minuet had no concept of evil beyond what she was taught so human sacrifices and other atrocities seemed entirely normal to her and she doesn't bat an eye at the things that happen around her. Despite this she genuinely wants the best for people both in her village and outside of it, even if spreading the word of the Maiden is deeply misguided."
Minuet herself is oblivious to the oddities of her village, having been raised not to know anything else. She's a kind person and wants to help keep other people happy and safe more than anything. She believes strongly in her duty as a hero and tends to put those goals and other people's problems above her own well-being. She sees the good in everyone, and though she won't forcibly convert someone, she will try her best to help anyone who wants to be saved. She's also extremely loyal to her god, however, and will follow it blindly, seeing even fairly extreme sins as an end to justify the means.
