He's a very curious guy and would investigate and learn different skills. Foreign magic, being one of them. His profession had him in good terms with the mythril dragon race, and led him to become the first humanoid with access to the mythril library.
The mythril library is a vault containing information about magic spescific to mythril dragons, martial arts designed to defend such race from outsiders, and various other tools that made the race thrive.
