Design Terms of Use
Adoptables that are created by me are bound by a few rules.
-Credit me the first time you use/post an adoptable created by me. Any further crediting is completely optional (Note that if the adoptable was created via an MYO by someone else, credit them instead).
-Don't claim that you designed it (unless it was a custom or MYO, a.k.a. "Make Your Own").
-If the adopt was a free one, you may not sell it. However, if it was bought or traded you may sell it.
-Payment for an adoptable must be done within 24 hours if no special arrangements have been made.
-Payment plans are doable if an adoptable fetches costs a pretty penny or if asked. Ownership of an adopt is not given until the payment is completed.
-For many adoptables, holds are possible. Holds cannot exceed 3 days.
-Note that failure to pay will result in ownership of the adopt not given to you, and the adopt back up for sale.
-Commercial use is allowed if it is not a species adopt and not a species from any of my universes. If the adopt is from one of my universes or is a species adopt, you must change it to a different species (preferably one that you have the rights to) before using it for commercial purposes. The above rules still apply. Note that this does not supersede US Fair Use law, so if the commercial use falls well within Fair Use then it is permitted. (though do tell me if you do use them for such a purpose; I'd love to see what you did).
-This is optional, but tag me! I totally would love to see what you did.
These rules shall persist throughout the transfer and resale, re-trade, and re-gifting of any adoptable made by me. I ask that you do not add rules to any adopt made by me (say, buy an adoptable and say "do not resell", "don't change the design", or "I have the right to take it back if you cheese me off" despite those rules not existing on the adopt before); these rules are designed to make you feel comfortable and make you feel like you own the character, allowing a great deal of creative freedom with your character.
