Zachriel ☆

The angel is as stoic as many other celestial beings, having been separated from their emotions just enough to know what love, hate, disgust, happiness, and etc. are but not 'experiencing' it for themselves. 

Zachriel doesn't differ in much ways from many other angels. Though, while a majority are relatively talkative and open to conversation, Zachriel is particularly shy. He prefers to keep to himself because of minor anxiety issues regarding his appearance, feeling as if he would just be a spectacle for others to look at. He is also a lot more prone to panic compared to many others, as the smallest things could set him off and make him withdraw. His reactions to a lot of things are primarily internalized and bottled up and often times are not expressed. Zachriel is aware he has a habit of bottling things up, but often opts to forget it.

He is also incredibly blunt. While he is entirely capable of reading someone's body language and understanding when something is appropriate to mention - a majority of the time he prefers to not 'lie' about situations, and figures that 'ripping off the bandaid' is better in the log run.

I can only pray that those I have hurt can forgive me.

Born into the role as the Angel of Memory, Zachriel is quite up the listing of old angels. He maintained the Record of Histories before Metatron rose to Heaven, and he was around before Lucifer's rebellion.

Zachriel kept to himself primarily, as his heavy dislike for his body increasingly made him self conscious as he 'grew' up. He never particularly understood why his body looked the way it did, especially considering if the Lord was all-knowing - why did they create him the way they did? Why was he stuck with scaled appendages which heavily contrasted the humanoid forms of other angels? Regardless, as time went on, Zachriel came to mildly accept the way his body turned out. 

While other angels never teased him for the way he looked, Zachriel would always find refuge with the unkindness of ravens that would follow him around.

Following the rebellion, Zachriel was forced into the new Nemosyne subset because of his role, which had already given him inherent abilities to manipulate the memories of others. Unsure of the job he was given, and forced to do the first Mnemonic process - Zachriel was horrified and appalled. It shocked him that such a barbaric role was given the go-ahead, questioning himself as to how anyone could lack enough empathy to not feel guilt upon seeing angelic bodies convulse and spasm in pain upon having all their memories erased. 

It created a pit in his stomach, a pit that would gradually grow in size to the point he would just shove mnemonic process duties onto other nemosyne angels. 

• Crows and ravens love to follow him. His particular favorite is an albino raven, who he practically treats as his child.
• His human body is that of a trans male post top surgery. Faint scars can be spotted on his chest. 
• He's highly aware of the irony behind being a nemosyne and the Angel of Memory - however even bringing it up isn't enough to get him demoted back to a regular ophanim.
