Salem has endured alot; verbal and physical abuse, abandonment, neglect. Though he eventually develops depression, he took it all in stride. As a result, he is armed with biting sarcasm and and smug attitude but reluctant to rely on others; to protect himself. Often overworks himself and enjoys focusing on the beauty of the outdoors; so as not to focus on his own problems. As a child he was mocked and bullied for talking too much and as an adult he keeps his feeling and thoughts secret… he can deal with it himself. Holds most at arms length. The only people he trusts are Suhair, his mother-like figure and his partner Mylo. On the flipside; he’s very chill-out, kind hearted and is extremely loyal to the ones he loves. He is absolutely devoted to his children, but is definitely very lax is his way of parenting. Let the kids play in the mud; they’ll be fine. The dirtier the better; thats what baths are for! However he never falters when the babes give him the puppy eyes for more dessert or something he knows they don’t need and usually is the one to discipline calmly. He is easy going and loving but is not manipulated easily.
