Hornetclaw

Hornetclaw was born a kittypet, with the name Butterscotch. He ran away when he was a few moons old. Since he was so young his collar was very small and he quickly outgrew it. Eventually it broke off but not before he sustained permanent damage to his throat and voice. Living on the streets in twolegplace made him grow up tough, scrappy, and cunning, not to mention a little selfish. By the time he made his way to the ShadowClan territory, he was strong enough to hold his own when he was caught by a patrol. Of course, once they realized he wasn’t going to turn tail at the first sign of violence, he was no match for a whole patrol. Rather than being angry, he was intrigued by the Clan cats all fighting together, and he respected their skill. He managed to talk his way into getting brought to the camp and convinced them that he was tough and dedicated enough to be allowed to join. He was apprenticed, and trained hard to prove himself. He was made a warrior at a later age than usual, due to his being older than six moons when he was apprenticed. His ruthless fighting and large intimidating appearance give him some credit with the Clan. Despite being a strong and conceited cat, he has a high degree of respect for those he regards as his equals or betters, especially if they’ve bested him in combat.
