Surma

Personality:

Surma is goofy, a little sassy, and all and all, tries to look at the bright side of things. They tend to be a little reckless and gutsy, though some of their actions tend to get reconsidered due to Ari, their shadow, making the effort to interfere and encourage Surma otherwise. 

Background:

Surma hails from Elta Nina, a place wrapped in permanent twilight due to the world's lack of rotation. At a young age, they suffered from a would-be fatal illness that, fortunate to the town's research, was (mostly) cured using experimental, shade-based magic. However, since that day, Surma's shadow took on a life of its own -- making Surma well talked among the town of researchers. 

Though at first dedicated to assisting the town with research, and aiming to get into the medical field themself, Surma soon realizes that, if they truly want to learn, it's best to travel the world and get information from all sorts of walks of life. So when they hear of an exploration group coming to Elta Nina, claiming that they're always looking for more members...

With a bag already packed, they decide it best to start their journey too.

Other Info:

• Surma is missing their right eye, which was 'lost' during their time recovering from their illness. Though they can't be sure, they've cottoned to the theory that Ari's their right eye -- that said, they can't see out of Ari's eye, nor can Ari see out of Surma's. 
• Though they're recovered from the illness' deadly effects, Surma still suffers from bouts of chronic fatigue every now and then.
• March is Surma's childhood friend. They enjoy teasing March the most with their harmless pranks, though unlike most, take special care to give March an ear to lend when he's feeling down or unsure. 
• They're a terrible cook. The most likely to make 'mystery food x'.
