Shibaan
𝓐 soldier of mysterious origin who likely arrived in Arcanus from a different nation. She cannot recall any memory of her life prior to 10 years of age and any prompting to speak of her past leads to confusion.
Shibaan lived with her adoptive family on the capitol outskirts and helped run Stormfast Tavern until she turned twelve. While defending the village from a group of ambitious bandits, Lord Oberon, who was returning from a mission, witnessed her potential and invited her to attend the military training academy. She attended the academy for Arcanus' soldiers for six years, eventually graduating only second to the current General of the Army, Lord Rai.
During her academy days, she received immense pressure from those of higher class and outcasted for being one of the only female students training as a soldier. Despite the inconvenience, Shibaan never paid them any attention and went about her days quite peacefully. She had an uncanny ability to de-escalate a situation and leave the perpetrators in a state of conflicting thoughts. In preparation for the first combat test, Shibaan helped a fellow student (Rahtar) and the two have been close friends ever since.
The most promising student in the academy was Lord Oberon's son, Rai. He did not partake in aggressing Shibaan and frequently spoke up in her stead. She appeared to be capable of handling herself so he did not meddle any further than keeping an eye on things. The first combat test ended with the quiet girl besting Rai in all four weapon classes and the final hand-to-hand combat. Gossip became the main source of bullying since no one dared to face her in actual combat unless it was required for tournaments or tests. The three remained friends throughout their academy days and keep in touch after graduation.

✦ She is better at hand-to-hand combat than swordplay.
✦ Dealing with alexithymia (inability to express emotions adequately, linked to autism). Her intentions are sometimes misunderstood. She's working on it.
✦ Too proactive for her own good. Her intentions are sometimes misunderstood as being manipulative and others may perceive it as her being condescending/patronizing, which is not what she means at all. While she's an excellent listener and will act in the best interests of others, it would do her much good to try and learn to communicate what her intentions are instead of being vague.
✦ Shibaan is oddly terrible at pronouncing names and is often scolded by Hifira when they were travelling together.
✦ If chaos is occuring, it is never due to Shibaan. While the others work to get them out of immediate danger, Shibaan is busy thinking of a long-term plan to get them out of a situation and straight to safety- or their next goal.
✦ Shibaan has often been mistaken for a young boy. Often misgendered as well but she doesn't mind and will respond to other pronouns if she is aware you are referring to her.
✦ During their brief time in Vita's hidden chambers, Shibaan forged a sword out of her own blood and the iron ore given to her by the God on Longfeng Island. The sword is named Sententia or Judgement. Strangely, Sententia almost reverberates with its own life force and is proven to only cut what Shibaan wills it to. Aislinn tests this theory by slicing the blade along her finger only for it to pass through, much to the relief of Shibaan and Hifira who tried to stop her.
✦ When travelling back through Arcanus to confront King Willis, the trio encounter a pack of wild Wulfenite. The groups recognize each other and one Wulfenite chooses to accompany them. The Wulfenite is named Nightglory for her coat colour and tendency to only appear at night.
