Guardian of the forest and herald of spring, Faeveil has a strong connection to the earth and the various creatures that inhabit the Hollow. Able to transform himself into any animal and having seen through the eyes of creatures great and small there is no path he cannot travel and no perspective he cannot understand. The God of the forest is reliable and steadfast, he will not make promises he cannot keep and any task he is set to he will accomplish it. His trust is not earned easily, and in turn he takes the trust others have in him very seriously. Despite his stoic demeanor Faeveil cares deeply about his subjects. The strength displayed by him serves as both a comfort to the inhabitants of his forest and a warning to those who may wish to cause them harm.

Region

To the southwest of Hollow’ven lies the region of Faeveil, named after its protector. A region characterized by its lush plants, towering trees, winding streams, and curious fauna, Faeveil is a verdant paradise of diverse life. It also is rumored to contain many mysteries shrouded amongst the leaves in the darkest parts of the forest where light struggles to break through the dense foliage. In the depths of the forest resides a giant, ancient tree with a great lake formed within its roots and a village settled high in the treetops among wispy spirits. The region spends most of the year in a perpetual spring.

Celebration

The month of March brings the Spring Festival, a special holiday celebrating the arrival of spring, new life, and the Spectrel god Faeveil. While still widely celebrated, the official festival and largest gathering takes place within the heavily forested region of Faeveil.

Curse

Spectrels who have resided in the region of Faeveil and are looked upon favorably by the god may sometimes find themselves granted Faeveil’s Curse. This curse allows a Spectrel to shift into a feral, beast-like form.

• He typically takes the shape of a wolf, bear, stag, or rabbit when in his feral form.
• His Spectra companion can change form as well, it tends to match Faeviel's feral form but otherwise typically appears as a hawk.
• The horn Spectra changes shape to better suit whatever form he's in.
• His Spectra tattoos are based on celtic knots.
• The mineral Spectra that runs down his spine and is clustered on his hips is harder than diamond.
