◆◆ Water magic; sacred spring

Conjures, manipulates, shapes water; simple yet versatile in utility (eg. shields, streams, watering plants, etc.). In addition, the water she manipulates takes on a light purifying and vitalising property.

• Conjured water can be drunk. It tastes sugary for some reason.
• The purification properties are less effective than direct purification magics, although the water can also be applied alongside healing magics to encourage the healing's effect.

◆ Personality

Quick to offer a stoic face and sparse words to strangers, Lilie may appear haughtily aloof on first impression – but she is as expressive as any other youth, mood swings and all. Yet while her heart is generous and nurturing, it seldom shows its colours when she spends more time dithering in indecision. She shies from trial and failure that may ultimately disappoint herself and others, so without encouragement or direction, she contents to be a bystander and expects everyone else to do the legwork. Unfortunately along the same vein, whenever faced with criticism or imposing personalities, Lilie's first instinct is to retreat and avoid indefinitely.

All too aware of her flaws and reticence, Lilie understands her small kindnesses can only go so far when she could – and should – be more forward and proactive as one under her Virtue in these darker times. Her efforts to step out of her comfort zone can be awkward and unexpected, but at the very least are genuine, and she would go to far lengths for another if she knew she was relied upon.

Though doubtful, she still hopes for the goodness of others and trusts that terrible views can be swayed if only given time for understanding. Lilie holds great admiration for acts of altruism, a selflessness she aspires to embody herself one day.

◆ History

An ending of life and rebirth:
The pale walls of alabaster sear your eyes with blinding sunlight; the dream is gone, a distant life; there is nothing of who you once were beyond memory.

Living in a time where mass witch hunts swept Europe once more, Lilie was the youngest daughter of untitled knights hailing from gentle birth and a witches' lineage, a far-removed cadet branch to greater names.

With the humble but decent standing of her family with their lords, and overseeing their own land in relative peace, by all rights they should have been safe from the purge's fire suffered by peasants elsewhere.
And yet with everyone of their blood suddenly facing accusations of malefic witchcraft and harbouring other witches – though they indeed practised magic themselves – and their case somehow placed under the jurisdiction of a foreign locale's court rather than their own, the Gardinier-Vauquelins were summarily tried, sentenced, and wiped out quietly without a chance to even contest the claims, or to understand how and who was behind them.

Reincarnated in a different time, in a different realm, Lilie recalled her life before not unlike a vague, recurring dream – remembered, questioned, and eventually, to be forgotten. There was little she wanted to keep apart from the memory of her family and dearest friends, but the rest she understood to be of a nightmare long gone: senseless, without answers, and nothing to do with her now. There was nothing she could do now, for herself or anyone back then.

With this new lease on life amidst the strife of the Nephilims' land, Lilie came to accept her own passing and her purpose at present. Nevertheless, she could not let go of her negativity bred by the past, even when among the safest company.
Adopted by a Seraph of charity that helped her settle into their home and culture, Lilie was eventually sent along with other youths to Saint Spell in hopes of learning about the other worlds, and also – personally – to better herself for her new friends and family, and perhaps make a difference this time.
