Kookaburra is a cheeky, vindictive, patronising, overbearing, and disgustingly honest demon. The skin he lives in does a very good job of showing this, with its twisted eyes and mischievous face.

All Wayward Wraiths of the male sex grow 'skins' as they reach adolescence, each taking on a different, customisable shape and pattern. They use these to lure in their partners and to exaggerate their gestures.

Kookaburra moves like a sock-puppet, and feels like one too - his skin is a plush like texture, especially at his belly.

As a Wayward Wraith, Kookaburra feeds on emotions - typically strong and volatile ones. His laughter can spread hypnotic chaotic and energy (similarly to chaos magic in the fable franchise), used to encourage huge emotions from his victims which he then takes from them. He doesn't kill or hurt his victims - they merely feel emotionally drained/damaged for a period of time depending on how much he eats.

When he's not entertaining, Kookaburra adores irritating whatever performers he can find (typically Alpongo). He's a very skilled juggler and loves his job, never unable to make a child laugh.
