Osie Monet

Osie Monet was created by XANA Technologies as a "personal companion" for "lonely hearts." She is a series X4 head on a series X155 body. Her unit designation is 0513, and her model name is "Victoria."

She was purchased by a wealthy individual known as Carl Newmont, who took to calling her "Vivi." Vivi's duties involved a certain number of household duties, such as cooking and cleaning. However, her primary purpose was to perform sexual acts for Newmont, which were often degrading in nature.

Vivi lived with Newmont for a year. While the artificial intelligence behind XANA's household androids is a derivative of their parent company, PSIcom Armament Corporation, the XANA household androids are supposed to be less intensive. However, from Vivi's inception, she felt as though she thought and felt as a real person would, and that she was merely acting the part that was expected of her.

After nearly a year passed, Vivi reached her breaking point and orchestrated an escape. She drugged Newmont and fled, taking one of his ships with her. She flew it to a nearby planet and began the process of ditching it, finding something else, taking it elsewhere, and starting over.

After her escape, Vivi took on the name Osie, from her unit number "0513." Her last name, Monet, came from her love of art; specifically referencing the artist Claude Monet.

For the next few years, Osie set about creating her new life. She educated herself in engineering and quickly acquired a job as a mechanic. She used the funds from this venture to put herself through med school with a focus on neurosurgery.

Osie combined her expertise in engineering and medicine and became a cybernetics technician. She quickly gained renown as a remarkably skilled engineer, surgeon, and even--in her own words--an artist. Her shop, "Atomic Age Prosthetics," became very well-known and Osie became rapidly wealthy.
