Unhallowed Grave (Fujō No Haka) is a spirit with a lust for power. In its sealed form it takes the shape of a normal katana with a burgandy hilt. Upon release of Shikai it transforms into a seven-branched sword and stays relatively the same length. After transformation it has the ability to sap Reiryoku from anything or anyone it comes into contact with. Shinobu can choose to transfer it to herself or let it build up in the weapon and later release it in an attack.

While Shinobu can normally rely on her Kido skills to heal herself they are intensified with the ability to absorb Reiryoku. She is not afraid to be wounded when her Shikai is active as she can typically heal herself almost instantly. She becomes more aggressive and much less defensive so that she can make the moves she needs to end the fight. Hooking an arm or leg in the branches of her sword is her favorite move but she can also use the branches to hook another's weapon to disarm them.

Releasing Bankai allows Fujō No Haka to gain its form outside of the weapon, taking on the shape of a figure oddly similar to Shinobu herself. Though they share some visual similarities one would be quick to notice that Haka speaks with a deeper tone. In addition if one is able to unwrap the bandages that cover most of its body they would find only bone, no flesh or organs of any type. Haka wields its own version of its Shikai which acts the same. It can move and fight independently though the two typically are synced and fight as one.

Fujō No Haka's inner world is an empty and barren landscape. There are often puddles of reflective water on the ground but little else. The sun rises and sets and occasionally the weather changes but nothing grows. It can speak to others once Bankai is released and does so with an unsettling voice and more taunting than Shinobu would like.
