A few years prior, they would meet Westley Crawford; a boy their age who moved into town not too long ago. They would discover his secret that he himself is not aware of, this being the mix of human and vorlith DNA running through his veins. This would be the start of their complicated yet extremely close relationship

SPECIES:

Vorliths are corpivorous (meat and blood eating) beings who appear human. As mentioned, their diet consists mainly of blood and flesh from living creatures (animals and/or human)

Possesses 2 stomachs

stomach 1: resembles a human stomach, but is smaller and can only properly break down meat. Vorliths can consume physical food other than meat, but only to a certain extent as it can cause stomach pain and sickness. This stomach is directly connected to the Esophagus just like humans.

stomach 2: similar to a vampire bat’s; appears very long and similar looking to an intestine. function is to separate nutrients from blood to be absorbed, then excess water is filtered into the first stomach to be processed to the kidneys.

proboscis— Vorliths possess proboscis organs that are used to retrieve blood directly from it’s host. they are typically long, flexible, and retractable. Amount and location of proboscis varies and is determined by genetics.
