【 Name 】 Chibane Sei
【 Age 】 25
【 Gender 】 NB
【 Ethnicity 】 Biracial (Japanese/Korean)
【 Alignment 】 True Neutral
【 Status 】 Single
【 Theme 】 The Grand Experiment

You'll never meet a more enthusiastic scientist than Chibane Sei. While they're a bright young mind in the field, with multiple appearances on popular science magazines and as a guest speaker on TV, they're rarely taken seriously by the more professional academics due to their youth and their childlike passion for all things SCIENCE. They say that the key to their scientific success is love (that is, the love they put into their experiments) and looking at their results you'd almost agree, though critics say that much of their research is based on speculation and is difficult to replicate in clinical trials. Nonetheless, Chibane's work has undeniably helped advance the future of genetic modification, and their appearance in the media with their Splice assistant Hane has helped popularise the concept of Splices worldwide.

Work

Chibane's employers often loan them out to different organisations - partly because their publicity isn't welcome at the company, but also because Chibane's parents sometimes come calling. Chibane is fully aware of this, and easily accepts wherever new place their employers choose to send them. They enjoy change, after all, and what's a better opportunity for change than this?

Trivia

  • Chibane speaks three languages fluently; English, Japanese, and Korean. This helps them substantially during interviews.
  • One of their bad habits is piling things up instead of cleaning them (books, blankets, paperwork etc). Hane enables this by cleaning up after them whenever the mess gets too bad.
  • Chibane used to wear glasses, but got corrective surgery when they were 17.
  • Dry nostrils and a deviated septum means that Chibane can essentially start nosebleeding on command, a useful skill during those long studio sessions (although their producer seems to have caught on...)
