Background: He's young adult who's always had visions of becoming the next Rito  champion having been inspired by the tales of Revali. Which lead him  dedicating a much of his youth to trying to hone his skills for combat.  With makes him a bit more competent than the average Rito at fighting  and adventuring. With a bit it being natural talent he's a bit over  confident as haven't really experienced much beyond the Rito Village.  Not that he can't be humbled and he truly cares for others wanting to  see the best for them.
