Rowan (Rory!)

Basic Info:

Lives in a small home in a mountainous desert region. An isolated survivalist that avoids people out of distrust. Considered elusive and Strange, both well-respected and feared. Only really leaves his home for basic necessities and to assist others. Has ties to a rebel organization and has been known to help them. Born in a small seaside town. It is believed he is currently living in hiding for unknown reasons, after the events of an incident that occurred 7 years ago. May or not be a wanted by a powerful organization.

His past and the reason for his strange appearance is a mystery to most, although he was once fully human. Some say he was cursed, other say he was a victim of a cruel experiment. 

Has since given up fighting all together. Lives a relatively comfortable life, occasionally helping travelers and protecting townspeople. Makes a living repairing and repurposing old technology he finds and builds useful machines to sell. Avoids any and all conflicts.

Personality:

Gentle, self-disciplined, distrusting at first, unfriendly, but kind-hearted, open-minded. Not very expressive. Blunt, but shy at times. Very silly at heart. Easily distracted. At times moody. 

Comes off as aloof, disinterested and bored, due to his lack of expression. He also tends to ignore people only because he struggles with paying attention and is often in his own little world. (AuDHD icon.) Accidentally intimidating a lot of the time.

Because of his relaxed “no conflict” way of living he comes off as a bit dismissive of his own issues and the issues of others and has a hard time taking things seriously. 

Wise at times and extremely skilled, but not very bright if that makes sense... 

Definitely NOT mentally stable and well-adjusted, although he tries to appear that way. :P He’s trying !!! 

Speaks in a way that makes him seem very Intelligent but is just saying Shit for no reason. Completely unserious do not listen to a word he says!! He thinks it's a bit funny. 

Likes:

Handiwork: cooking, cleaning, repairing and building things from scrap, growing vegetables, sewing, naps, warm weather, fun socks, cute and colorful things, fishing, stickers, painting, customizing his belongings, rockclimbing, outdoor activities in general tbh. Climbs literal mountains for fun wtf is his deal.

Foods: Salmon, noodles, spicy poke, peach iced tea, fresh strawberries, fried egg

Animals: Chickens, amphibians, birds, reptiles, dinosaurs, beetles

Dislikes:

Not being able to skateboard as well as he used to, receiving too much attention, conflict and fighting, talking about his personal life/past, dealing with problems in general, being told what to do (hates it), strangers touching his horns, his tail being pulled, being treated like he’s dumb or aggresive.

Design Details:

Has tiny baby fangs that are visible when he laughs and smiles… 

Always looks a bit sleepy.

Not skinny!! Very strong body type. 

Extra: 

Heightened senses. Especially strong sense of smell. 

Due to his monster DNA he has strange, almost animal-like behaviors at times. He likes to sniff things and often has the urge to chase moving objects. Also has a large appetite. His tail wags when anxious or content. 

Really bad with money. Makes horrible financial decisions, spends most of it on fancy ingredients for cooking. Somehow always owes people money. In debt forever but doesn’t really care. 

Really good with kids. 

Little animals are obsessed with him for some reason. Birds will perch on his horns, squirrels and cats will climb him, bees… everything.

Absorbs heat energy which powers his own magic. Usually stronger in the sunlight. Must always keep himself warm. (He basically photosynthesizes with magical energy as the product.) Can also transfer his stored heat energy to keep others warm :)
