About 
Maesy had been a foster dog all her life, until she was finally given up on and placed in a pound to wither
away for the rest of her life.

When the meteor struck, she began to feel pain in her chest so severe she couldn't move for days. Thorny vines
sprouted from her skin and wrapped around her limbs, sucking up any blood produced so she didn't die from bloodloss.

When the pain finally grew managable she was able to get up, finding herself to be alone in the pound as every dog had
succumbed and the humans had evacuated. She was found by workers and taken to the Laboratory before she could die of
thirst or starve. There, she has discovered the plants are coming from her heart and she is likely to die very soon.
