Mae feels like she might be a bad person. She spent the first eighteen years of her life being coddled by her mum, never able to become her own person. And she wanted nothing more than to get out of that! but now, she's living with herself for the first time. And she isn't sure if she likes it. She gossips, and says impulsive mean things and she just feels like such an asshole all the time. On the one had she empathises with other people to an almost sickening degree, but she cant stop herself from hurting them anyway. honestly her best friend and partner, mary, doesn't help with this issue, being that he's unabashed about his meanness.
