A fallen angel.
Berith fell from heaven with Perni long ago and stoutly refuses to acknowledge any regrets he may have about it. His wings are near useless, due to him using them to shield his brother, and they have to be cleaned and bandaged regularly or they will cease to work at all.
His vessel is Damon Ingram, though neither of them care for each other, they're stuck together as Damon is the only one who will let Berith in, and Berith is the only one who can help Damon with his occasional murderous whims.
He and Perni are identical twins. The two have lived together all their lives, and trust each other implicitly. He doesn't really care for Niles, but he knows how fond his brother is of the boy, so he's at least polite to him.
