The Pufferfish

A strange slugcat, fitted with spikes! Its body is mostly hollow, allowing them to inflate if they hold their breath-- even allowing short bouts of flight, too! Unfortunately, this means that the slugcat must hold their breath- which can leave it vulnerable if they wind themself. If they get angry or are in peril, it can inflate quickly and shoot the spikes on their body out at any aggressors. They're also a skilled "swimmer", being able to skim across the surface of any body of water with ease in its puffed-out form. (they/it pronouns)
