Lily

With a vampire father and a witch mother, Lily was the second eldest of 4 children. One half brother from her father, older by 10 years, and two twin sisters younger than her by 3 years. Her childhood was loud to put it one way. It was havoc. Three young children attempting to learn to control their magic. And Lily showed particular strength in familiar taming and summoning, having gotten her first familiar, a small Shadow Salamander at merely 7 years old. To summon and tame a creature so young was amazing according to her parents, let alone it being a magical creature. Her younger sisters, however, were not adept at summoning and taming like Lily, but instead, Rose excelled at flying and Lotus was strong at elemental attacks. Rose and Lily were never particularly close, but she did get along with Lotus very well. And was extremely close with her older brother, Rhaddok, a vampire/shadow walker hybrid. He never really got along with the twins very well and was more of a recluse, but Lily enjoyed talking with him late into the night.

By 12, she had her second familiar, an Arcane Wolpertinger, a small creature that looked like a hare, but with a cotton tail bigger than normal hares, with antlers like a roebuck, wings like a Jay and saber teeth.

At 15, she met Matte, an 18 year old vampire who took a liking to her. And Lily was smitten by him and unused to the attention he showed her. She was soon dating him, and after much convincing on his part, she moved in with him at 17. It was brilliant. He was a true gentleman. But after a year, almost right after her 18th birthday, it changed. He turned aggressive and violent. He'd abuse her, emotionally and physically. But the next day he'd apologise and shower her with gifts. Every time. And every time, Lily would forgive him.. Even when he'd berate her and tell her she was worthless. Because she began to believe it. Believed she'd never find anyone else. So she stayed. She was quick to find out the change in attitude was that he'd killed a number of people, overfeeding himself and was on the wanted list.

Until, when she was 22, he came home mad as hell and looking at somewhere to vent it. Bounty Hunters were getting too close to finding him and he wasn't happy. He assaulted her, raped her and then began to gorge himself on her blood. Something he'd done by force many times before, but this time was different. He was trying to kill her. And fear made Lily break. With barely a thought, she summoned her newest familiar - a massive Thunderbird she'd summoned and tamed at 19. Even though the room was far too small for the creature, it tore Matte off of a weakened Lily and pinned him to the ground - talons almost crushing his head. And they sat like that for the rest of the night whilst Lily regained her strength. And then she took him down and handed him into the authorities with her Thunderbird - and received his bounty.

From there, Lily promised herself she'd recover. And she'd never get into another relationship where she was merely a doormat and took abuse constantly. And she'd hunt those that did that to other people. For a year, she has been mending herself, focusing on her day jobs as a chef and a photographer - jobs she's had for a few years now - as well as her night job as a Bounty Hunter. In the past year she was even managed to tame a wild Wendigo and make it her familiar - a much harder feat than merely summoning them.
