She is kind of reluctant to be a magical girl and doesn't really care if she blows up a whole road when defeating monsters. Also stops weird occult people with this girl Aoi she met. story
origin
On a trip to pay respects to the town's local shrine, Yui meets a weeeeird girl called aoi from the class next door, who keeps saying 'the end is nigh". The same night, a suspicious cult breaks into the shrine and releases the trapped spirits who had been held captive in there for thousands of years! After much discussion, Aoi persuades Yui to become a magical girl using one of Aoi's ol' family heirlooms which is actually a magical rose hairpin. "Hey," Yui says, "Isn't this kinda cliche?"
The rest of their story follows Yui trying to balance her school life and her magical girl life while Aoi beats the shit out of the cult who released the spirits.
