berry is a really shy and quiet vampire who doesn't like to hurt humans. he's a bad conversationalist and stutters. a lot. he's probably said more apologies in his life than he had any other word. He sort of just finds interacting with people he isn’t too close to to be very unfavorable in general. he doesn’t mean to be rude whatsoever, but sometimes he just snaps-- gets really upset by the smallest things when he’s extremely anxious or on the verge of just breaking down. it isn’t uncommon for him to. he’s usually always beside marmalade’s side due to his anxiety, and is always grateful whenever she hold his hand, or leads him through a crowd and makes sure not to lose sight of him. though he is very timid, he loves affection from the people he cares about and absolutely loves hugs and cuddles from just about anyone he considers close to him. being in someone’s arms or just having some sort of contact (except eye, that makes him really nervous) is like a safe haven for him, and it makes him feel really safe. he’s not exactly the brightest person, but at the same time, he isn’t the saddest. he tries really hard to regulate his emotions--- in reality, he tends to be really unstable and always makes a point to try to calm down, tries to breathe when he’s in a hard situation, but it’s one of the hardest things in the world for him. despite enjoying being around others, he prefers to be alone when he’s not in a populated area. he sort of always feels like he’s in the middle of a panic attack when he’s with other people, or around people in general (and he probably is.)

though he is sort of just a ball of anxiety, he is very bubbly the majority of the time--- mainly around people he’s very comfortable and safe around. he can’t exactly help but smile and compliment his friends a lot. it really makes his day just doing so.
