Not much of a people person Rowan tends to be rather cold to others but is mostly socially awkward due to years of social isolation due to becoming a shut-in.
He isn't too keen on making new friends but he still tries to be kind to other people.

Bio:
A Lupo from Bolívar Rowan code name Oasis has intense medical anxiety ( hypochondria ) which led him to Rhodes Island fearing he has become infected. Even when he was reassured he was in perfect health he still stuck around. Medical staff is expected to see him at least once a day for oripathy testing. Medical staff are expected to conduct the test. Rowan seems aware that the tests are pointless and he is healthy but it seems his anxiety is overwhelming

Rowan has stated his life in Bolívar was rather peaceful. His parents held jobs that lead him to live a comfortable life. He even was able to attend further education studying biochemistry. He seemed to have a nice life ahead of him.

Things however took a turn when an accident occurred causing a close friend to become infected with Oripathy it was this event that led Rowan to develop his hypochondria.

This fear led Rowan to slowly withdraw from the outside world as he began spending more and more time alone in his room the only place he felt he could control

Note from Rhodes Island intake counsellor: it is clear the event that led to the infection of this friend has deeply traumatized Rowan. He seemed quite distressed when the topic was brought up.

Rowan had not originally joined Rhodes Island with the intent of becoming an operator. So it came as quite a surprise when he approached the recruitment staff with the paperwork filled out applying to become a medical operator. Rowan has no medical training but does have the knowledge to perform basic medical arts.

Upon questioning it seems he was encouraged to take up the role after befriending some of the other medical operators.

It is encouraging to see him connecting with others again and to see him trying to move out of his comfort zone. He also seemed rather hopeful for his future

Rowan has continued to push his comfort zone he has recently been asking to get sent on more missions especially those that include disaster clean up

He has recently taken up a position in the post-mortem disaster prevention and clean-up team. He is very diligent in his work and is quick to react when an issue arises.

It is a common fact that after an inflected dies their body will explode.

Rowan is very aware of these risks yet he still manages to do the job. In some ways, it's the perfect job for him as he is able to use the skills he has to keep himself from getting infected to help others.

When Rowan talks about his work these anxieties seem to fade. He has made amazing progress since joining Rhodes Island

When Rowan was younger he and his friend got caught up in an accident, this accident was a small Originium explosive going off. Damage was minimal but his friend was one of a handful of passers-by who became infected. For unknown reasons, his friend did not seek treatment. Thus leading to a slow and painful death that Rowan bared full witness to. Along side that he also witnessed the hatred of the infected through his friend.

Rowan says he isn’t sure when exactly it was that he feared becoming infected but that by the time his friend had passed on that fear had taken full control of his life.

As Rowan explained this story to me it was clear how much this event had affected him. But I also know that him sharing this story is proof he is truly opening up to those on Rhodes Island.

If Rowan continues on this path I believe he can overcome the remainder of his fears and live the life he truly wants to live.
