The Spear Ghost:
The spirit that haunts the spear was a greedy entrepeneur in life. They had met the spear's previous wielder, and coveted the beautiful enchanted weapon deeply. They schemed a trick to make the wielder lose it, but she saw through the trick, and killed them with it, instead. As they lay dying, they lamented that if they'd possessed the spear they would not have lost their life. In that moment, they wanted to spear so strongly that their soul attached itself to the weapon.
As a spirit, the spear has a powerful greed towards any powerful and rare weapon or artifact. It whispers to whoever should wield it to hunt and steal any that it should see. It is not fully aware of itself, but it remembers that it once coveted an enchanted weapon, and because it failed to get it, bad things happened. Unfortunately, between the insistent whispering and the dangerous magical artifacts it encourages its wielders to get, those that hold the spear for long are often driven mad. Just look at its current wielder!
