Finn Di Roy

Spirited and free Finn would rather sail the ocean blue than settle down. He never stays in one place for very long; adventure is always one of his top priorities. As a result Finn doesn't like to be tied down. Romantic relationships are usually flings that don't last for very long. It doesn't necessarily mean he's a bad partner, he's incredible gentle and caring when it comes down to it. He will always be mindful of boundaries and another person's comfort zone. Being on ships for fives years has molded him into a hardworking individual. Compassionate to all of his friends/crewmates Finn wouldn't hesitate to put himself in harm's way for them. However he hates authority, seeing them as oppressive. Unlike a captain of a ship he thinks kings and queens are nothing but pompous dictators. Believing he owes no loyalty to any royal family he wouldn't go out of his way to help them. Rebellious as he may Finn is a truly well meaning person. Amiable and understanding he will always help those in need. 

Finn was raised by his half elven warlock mother Lorelai Di Roy, a human who had a rare genetic disorder called albinism. As such she spent much of her time in solitude, often finding solace near oceans in order to hone her skills as a warlock. That is where a water genie caught her eye. She intended to take advantage of this by using flattery and wit so that the genie would give her esoteric knowledge. However one thing led to another and it turned into a sexual encounter. Soon Lorelai found that she was pregnant which scared her into further isolation. When Finn was born she shielded him from the outside world, insisting he instead focus on magic. Like the ever changing tides he could not be contained. Around his 18th birthday he snuck out and went to a nearby. He was fascinated by it - especially the docks. Seeing as though she couldn't keep him restrained his mother gave her blessing for him to travel around the world.
